I also have a page in Norwegian. I have made these pages in the hope of getting in contact with old friends, and maybe make some new.


I am working in Norsk Hydro where I have been since 1982. I have been working with data base design and application programming on IBM mainframes, using the language of CSP against a DB2 data base. The last years I have been involved in several SAP projects.


I live with Evelyn Margrethe Mikalsen in Porsgrunn , Norway. The 2nd of May 1997, we became the parents of Sofie.


We have a small cabin in Bergsbygda. It is close to the fjord and has a nice view.


In my spare time I play drums in a marching band named Porsgrunn Janitsjarorkester. The band consists of about 30 amateur musicians, age from 15 to 79. Our instruments are trumpets, horns, trombones, tubas, clarinets, flutes, saxophones and percussion instruments.


I own a 1988 model BMW K100 RT Motorcycle. I believe it was the first motorcycle in Norway with ABS brakes. I also have a car, it's a 1981 model Mercedes 230 TE.


My education I got at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology where I studied Computer Science. I graduated in February 1982.


I was born on October 16, 1958 in Sunndalsøra.

My uncle Rudolph Johnson has written the family history Lapland Ancestry.

My cousin Arden Johnson is one of the founders of The Sami Siida of North America, which is a confederation of regional organizations with members who share the heritage of the Sami culture of Northern Scandinavia and Finland.

My cousin Nina is a photographer. She has made these pictures of the Norwegian music group Kåre & the Cavemen. She is currently working free-lance for the newspaper VG.
